St. Albert Minor Hockey Association (SAMHA) is now accepting applications for Jr. Raiders Head Coach positions for the 2026/27 season.
We are seeking strong leaders who are passionate about player development, creating positive team environments, and supporting long-term growth within our program.
Head Coach Positions
U9 Jr. Raiders
U11 A Female Jr. Raiders
U11 AA Jr. Raiders
U11 A Jr. Raiders
Jr. Raiders Head Coaches play a key role in introducing and developing players within our high-performance pathway. Coaches are expected to foster skill development, teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game in alignment with our program's values.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate, development-focused practices
Lead games and manage the bench in a positive, professional manner
Create an inclusive, respectful, and supportive team culture
Communicate effectively with players, families, and association staff
Work collaboratively with assistant coaches and program leadership
Qualifications & Expectations
Strong understanding of long-term athlete development
Previous coaching experience preferred (division-appropriate)
Required Hockey Canada coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Commitment to upholding the program's policies, values, and Code of Conduct
